Description of High Quality Gyokuro Green Tea from Kyoto Prefecture, 100g x 3 packs

Considered one of the premium types of green tea in Japan, Gyokuro green tea is a high quality tea that is made from the same tea leaves any other tea in Japan derived from the Camellia Sinensis tea bush. Green tea is developed differently from regular tea since it is processed in such a way that fermentation is stopped. Green tea is also made from leaves that have been protected from sunlight for a specific number of days, usually 20 days, with the help of a screen. The leaves are then picked and steamed before being rolled and dried. The reason why the tea bushes are screened before the leaves are picked is to give these leaves the bright green color and softness that is needed to process these into these special green teas. Gyokuro tea is a specialized tea that is produced only in Fukuoka and Kyoto, with a few being developed in Shizuoka. It has been said that this particular tea, the Gyokuro green tea, was first developed in Kyoto, which is why this kind of tea coming from the Kyoto Prefecture is considered to be of the highest quality. This is also why people tend to look for this particular tea that comes from this prefecture. Gyokuro is a tea that you do not drink quickly or on a whim. It is also not a tea that you drink on a daily basis as a normal tea, since this is considered one of the more special green teas around. For you to truly appreciate this tea, you will need to steep this in water that is no more than 60 degrees Celsius. When the tea has been made, do not rush in drinking it. You must savor the unique and intense flavor of the tea in order to appreciate its special qualities. Gyokuro green tea usually has an intense yet sweet flavor that is slightly astringent.
