Description of Nishikigoi Sake, 0.72L (alc. 15%)

Brewed with the image of Niigata prefecture's representative colored koi fish's extravagant appearance, with a special richness and fragrance with notes of white peach. The bottle can be used as a charming decoration after drinking, with its koi fish design.

Product name: Nishikigoi Origin: Niigata Prefecture Characteristics of the production area: In the pond, fermented food industry like sake, miso, natto, etc. were thriving. Rice was used luxuriously in sake brewing, but it was hard to find a water ingredient suitable for sake brewing. A spring water field in Niigata prefecture was found and the natural water that springs up to Suganakeake was used. Long time ago, the brewery was not bottling sake yet, instead, was shipping only in barrels. The liquor store in the town was allowed to add water to barrel drinks purchased from sake brewery, to dilute it, to sell it after increasing the amount. However, the sake breweries also started adding water before shipping. At the time the sake was called "Kingyoshu" as it was a liqueur diluted with water that "a goldfish can swim in it". Imayotsukasa Brewery does not dilute their sake with water. In other words, since the liquor shop were shipping a lot of diluted liquor, it becomes profitable and favorable for the liquor store. It is said that this drink is popular among the liquor shops in Niigata. Even today, those who are over 60 years old were particularly familiar with warehouses, and they were representatives of Niigata Sake. Taste: It has a pure taste. History: It entered fully into sake brewing in the middle of the Meiji era. In today's sake brewing, which decided to cut down on large-scale production in 2006, we switched to a total amount of Junmai which does not add alcohol at all, and with the desire to review sake brewing again. Sake brewery: Imayotsukasa Brewery Features: It is an impressive sake of Nishikigoi. Specification of sake is not disclosed.
