Otokoyama was the first famous brand of sake from the Edo era, with sake brewed from three centuries ago in the city of Itami during the Kanbun era, catering to the fine tastes of famous figures in history and passing down the precious tradition of the finest sake to modern generations. The refined sake is made with water sourced from the year-round snow from the Daisetsuzan mountain rivers, a natural resource that perfectly complements the brewing of sake. The high quality has won numerous awards and international recognition.

Product Name: Otokoyama "Junmai" Daiginjo Origin: Asahikawa, Hokkaido Characteristics of Production Area: Daisetsuzan is one of the 100 hundred famous mountains in Japan. The cold water that flows out of it is the basis of the clear and dry taste of Otokoyama's sake. The strict cold climate is suitable for sake brewing, and the carefully selected rice produces a refreshing light taste which perfectly conveys the nature of Hokkaido. Taste and Aroma: Elegant and light, but with a deep flavor. History: Founded 1887 and established in 1952. The sake was created by Yamamoto Saemon in the Edo period. The brewery was named "Momenya" and it started in the Kansai region. The sake is originally named after the Otokoyama Hachimangu Shrine in Kyoto. The predecessor, Yamazaki Brewery, was founded in Hokkaido in 1887. Later on, in 1968, with the desire to produce a better tasting sake, "Momenya" was inherited by Otokoyama Brewery from the Yamamoto house. Sake Brewery Name: Otokoyama Co. Ltd. Awards and Recognitions: In 1977, the corporation won the world's first Monde Selection Gold Prize for sake. Five years later in 1982, it earned a gold medal during the The International Wine & Spirit Competition, an annual European liquor competition. And for 42 consecutive years, until now, the corporation continuously received more than 50 other gold medals in total, not only in Japan, but also abroad.
