Japanese sake or Japanese rice wine was used to be crafted and drunk only inside temples and shrines to celebrate religious gatherings, festivals, and ceremonies. Traditionally, Japanese rice wine is served in a tokkuri and then it is poured in a small ochoko made of ceramic or bamboo. It is best to drink premium sake wine chilled, to experience the delightful aromatics and full flavor, however, other kinds of sake can also be enjoyed warm especially on the cold winter.
