Description of Dassai Junmai Daiginjo 23 1800ml with an Exclusive Box

Yamaguchi prefecture is a known tourist destination, and apart from the sights and sounds steeped in the rich history and culture of Japan, one of the preferred attractions of the region is the sake. The Dassai junmai daiginjo sake has achieved quite the reputation for being a favorite of both local sake drinkers and even tourists from all over the world who have sampled this rice wine and have taken to its unique taste. The story of how this company rose from being a small local brewery to the grand brand it has become today is also one that serves as an inspiration to many businesses all over the world. Established over 200 years ago, the small brewery was starting to see the end of business as their sales were becoming more dismal. Seeking a way to save the business, the new company president Sakurai Hiroshi developed a new line of daiginjo sake and named it after a local haiku poet and the local otter festival, known as Dassai. Seeing a measure of success in this new venture, the company decided to push the endeavor further, by lowering the milling rate of the rice used to make the sake from 24 percent to 23 percent, something no other brewery has even thought of doing before. The result was a surprisingly superior product that many sake drinkers, restaurants, and private buyers found to be quite appealing. The popularity of the Dassai brand flourished, even more, reaching even onto fine wine sellers abroad, making it known internationally. The resulting flavor of the innovative process played a large role in making it a success, with sake drinkers describing the apple flavor of the sake as having a lingering tartness, but is also tempered with the light and contrasting flavors of strawberries and cream, and sweet peaches. The finish is also preferred as it does not leave a heavy lingering taste on the palate
